Ardbeg Supernova 2010. This is the 2010 version of Ardbeg Supernova, and no doubt will be hoping to follow on from the success of last year’s edition, which scooped Scotch Whisky of the Year from Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2010.

Deep earthy peat oils, smoky coal tar and rolling tobacco, all balanced with camomile, cedar and heather bloom. Ardbeg Supernova, peated to an astonishing level of over 100 parts per million, is released the second time in May 2010 – as a very limited edition!
|Nose:||Deep earthy peat oils, smoky coal tar and rolling tobacco, all balanced with camomile, cedar and heather bloom|
|Palate:||An explosion of smoke and salt, hot peaty power on the tongue, black and white peppar meets chili and chocolade. Sweet tobacco marries fresh leather and limes marmalade. At the top cigar smoke rises and leaves dark notes of roasted coffee beans, almond and liquorice|
|Finish:||Long, deep and mighty, refuses to take leave, stays warm and dry, with tarry peat, cocoa beans and chili peppers|
